Welcome to Good Shepherd's Bible Online. Thanks to the efforts of others who provided the original files we used to put this together, we can present to you the American Standard Version (ASV) of the Bible.
Why the ASV and not another version such as the New Standard Version (NSV) you may be more used to? Simply, the ASV isn't covered by copyright laws and we can use it free of charge. The NSV, on the other hand, is still covered by copyrights and would be prohibitively expensive.
How to use:
- Select a book and chapter from the listing on the right hand column to jump to any place you wish.
- The bible is also fully searchable! Use the search form at the top of the right hand column.
- Keywords are separated by blanks.
Keyword matching ignores upper and lower case, and matches all suffixes such as plurals and "-ed." - You may enclose exact phrases in quotes:
"Jesus Christ"
