Help Urgently Needed: Nights of Hospitality
sysop (apparently) - 10:39pm Jan 11, 2010 ET

Known as "Nights of Hospitality", Good Shepherd provides a warm place to sleep for area homeless during the cold winter months. The program was quite successful last year and is operational again for 2010.
However we are critically short of volunteers, particularly for the overnight (midnight to 7am) shifts.
For the very near term, volunteers are needed for January 17th through the 23rd from midnight to 7am, as well as a few 7pm-12am shifts.
Volunteers are needed for the months of February and March as well. Any time slot.
Ideally each shift needs coverage by 2 adult volunteers (1 male and 1 female, or 2 males).
"What does it entail?", you might ask.
Our doors open up to the homeless at 7pm. If needed we can provide them snacks or a light meal from the kitchen. Games or reading material (from the church) may be used as well. At 10pm it is lights out. Volunteers are not required to stay awake overnight. You are there essentially as chaperones.
If you can help, and for additional information on the program, please contact Pat Probert at 508-291-3364
